I’ve interviewed plenty of pros and legends of the sport to get insight on what makes them tick and of course if they have any tips for us age-groupers for a better, faster race.
Originally, I wrote the interviews in a long-form article style, beginning with Dave Scott, until it dawned on me that I might as well record them over Zoom and just upload them as YouTube videos.
I did that with guys like Mark Allen, Dave Scott (again), Craig Alexander, Tim Reed, Bob Babbit, Taren, Sam Laidlow, and way more, and that set off the IronmanHacks YouTube channel.
Then, in August 2023, when the PTO race came to Singapore, I got press credentials and spoke to the pro men and women at the finish line.
This included people like Kristian Blummenfelt, Lucy Charles-Barclay, Sam Long, Ashleigh Gentle, Josh Amberger, Aaron Royle, and more.
I repeated this in 2024, at the newly-named T100, where I had maybe the most fun interview of all, with Sam Long, which you can see here.
